The School of Social Work at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to lead the administration of the Title IV-E Training Grant. This leadership role oversees the day-to-day operations of the grant, supervises a diverse team, ensures contract compliance, manages the Child Welfare Scholars (stipend) Program, and serves as a key liaison to statewide partners, including UNLV, the Nevada Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS), and county-level child welfare agencies. This position plays a vital role in the development and implementation of a statewide, evidence-informed, competency-based child welfare training program that enhances professional practice and outcomes across Nevada. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all aspects of the Title IV-E training program. Chair UNR's Northern Training Partnership (NTP) team meetings and hiring searches. Collaborate with DCFS, UNLV, and county jurisdictions on curriculum design and program development. Serve as primary liaison to state committees and workgroups related to training, evaluation, and curriculum. Work with fiscal staff to oversee program budgets and ensure contract deliverables are met on time. Engage external stakeholders (e.g., foster parents, subject matter experts) in training initiatives. Deliver presentations and workshops on Nevada's child welfare systems. Contribute to applied research projects and program evaluation. Directly supervise multiple staff, including Coordinators, Trainers, and Technologists. Support indirect supervision of child welfare trainers and student workers. Conduct annual performance evaluations and provide ongoing team leadership. Co-lead the statewide Title IV-E Child Welfare Scholars Program in partnership with UNLV, DCFS, and local jurisdictions. Develop and implement innovative student recruitment strategies. Address complex issues related to student eligibility, hiring, and loan forgiveness. Collaborate with the Field Education Program to align stipend awards with student placements. Track outcomes and prepare detailed reports on recruitment, retention, and compliance. Provide support and mentoring for BSW and MSW stipend students in field placements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and five (5) years of related work experience; OR a Master's Degree in Social Work and three (3) years of related work experience Related Experience: Direct practice with children and families; administration of a program or project; and training or teaching experience or related.
