Electrical & Instrumentation Designer
We are urgently seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Designer for a contract-to-direct position. This role will initially be remote, with the flexibility to report to a local office in Mobile or Dothan, AL as needed. The position is anticipated to transition to a permanent role within six months. Key Details: Full-time availability, minimum of 40 hours per week. Opportunity to work independently with occasional in-office reporting. Job Responsibilities: Design of electrical controls and instrumentation systems for industrial projects. Provide construction, startup, and troubleshooting support. Develop cable schedules, instrument datasheets, and indexes. Collaborate with clients and participate in projects from initial planning to startup. Mentor and lead junior engineers, designers, and draftsmen. Requirements: Proficiency in AutoCAD. At least 5 years of experience with Electrical Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for industrial projects. Familiarity with loop sheets, wiring diagrams, flow meters, and control symbols. Preferred: Experience in the pulp & paper industry is a plus but not required. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment!
