The EEG Technologist will deliver safe and effective patient care as defined by Florida Hospitals mission, vision, and core values, and is consistent with the standards of care for this discipline. This position requires the EEG Technologist to be proficient in performing neurodiagnostic studies in accordance with approved policies and procedures of the Cardiopulmonary Department. The EEG Technologist is under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary Manager and the Cardiopulmonary Medical and Administrative Director. This position also requires intimate knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relating to the field of Cardiopulmonary and Neurology. The value you'll bring to the team: Performs electroencephalogram studies. Performs evoked potential studies. Records, processes, files and charges (as applicable) daily pertinent patient data relative to their job duties. Ensures inpatient and outpatient records are sent to medical records. Assures reports and recordings are available to the physicians at all times. Stays current with policies and procedures regarding neurodiagnostic tests. Also, advises on needed changes to the neurodiagnostic policies and procedures. The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with appropriate technical training. Medical terminology.
