In this sales position at BWFC, you will drive the growth of our equipment and aftermarket product lines, with a strong focus on our can-seaming solutions. This type of position typically involves prospecting new clients, implementing strategies and securing orders, to grow the customer base while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. Given the significant travel requirement, it likely involves meeting customers on-site, attending industry events, and ensuring hands-on support for equipment sales and service. Role Responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of BWFC's product capabilities and services to create customer-specific, value-added solutions through a consultative selling approach, ensuring customer needs and expectations are met and exceeded. Navigate the Complex Sales Environment by mastering both the Selling Process and the Customer Buying Process, leveraging industry-leading sales practices. Proactively prospect new opportunities with both existing and potential customers, identifying key contacts within accounts, understanding their needs, and crafting tailored solutions that emphasize BWFC's tangible value. Secure new machinery orders for divisional products in the assigned territory, aiming to surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM to maintain accurate records, track customer interactions, and manage competitive insights effectively. Develop and implement strategies to explore new markets and applications aligned with the company's core competencies. Assist in resolving customer claims and/or complaints, ensuring adherence to department policies for efficient resolution. Strengthen relationships with current and potential customers by maintaining regular communication and providing valuable product insights, increasing the likelihood of future sales. Facilitate product demonstrations and support the identification and qualification of new business opportunities. Provide market intelligence, recommending strategies based on trends, competitive products, and pricing insights. Stay informed on customer and competitor activities, relaying critical information internally to support strategic decision-making and enhance market positioning. Deliver comprehensive details on customer needs, specifications, and applications to ensure accurate and timely proposals that align with their requirements. Promote BWFC's additional servicesincluding spare parts, training, and field serviceas well as other capabilities within Barry-Wehmiller divisions to maximize sales potential. Maintain detailed reports and records on all sales activities in compliance with company standards. Coordinate engineering service availability to fulfill customer requirements effectively. Consistently present yourself professionally while ensuring a safe and responsible approach in all business interactions. Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a technical degree accompanied by extensive, proven industry experience. Experience

Minimum of five years of B2B sales experience in the capital equipment or packaging industry. Comprehensive knowledge of canning line packaging machinery and systems, with hands-on experience in the food and beverage industries. Strong communication skills, including oral, written, and presentation abilities, to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proven relationship builder with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Professional, customer-focused, and results-driven with a strategic approach to sales and business impact. Technically proficient with solid electrical/mechanical aptitude, experience with machine applications, MS Office, CRM systems, and AutoCAD Viewer. Highly organized, analytical and adaptable - able to manage time effectively, evaluate project viability and drive initiatives forward.
