The job summary involves coordinating and executing month-end closing and planning processes for PSEG, and leading or assisting in the implementation or upgrade of financial systems. Job responsibilities include executing month-end closing processes for PSEG's books employing SAP, Hyperion Enterprise, PowerPlant, and Blackline, executing complex planning processes, providing governance for SAP environment using the GRC-RAR module of SAP, developing and deploying procedures, controls, and guidelines for updating production financial master data, ensuring compliance with existing SOX controls, analyzing business requirements and defining system solutions to address complex business needs, providing technical and analytical expertise to ensure the integrity of all financial data, recommending SAP system configuration activities to improve performance and functionality, coordinating, evaluating, and testing financial upgrades including new implementations to production environments ensuring the integrity and correctness of financial data, working with clients, Product Managers, IT, and other SAP Module Experts in a team environment to facilitate efficient and effective business processes, and knowledge of business unit/functional area processes, process dependencies, and integration across Enterprise. Required skills include a bachelor's degree or 5+ years related business and technical experience, ability to identify and develop client solutions for complex business problems and translate the solutions into functional requirements and coordinate with IT to a successful implementation, strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, and functional knowledge of Finance/Controlling (CO) in SAP ECC, as well as familiarity with PS, FERC, PM, MM, HR, and GRC-RAR modules. Desired skills include proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, WinShuttle, S4/HANA experience, and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
