Warehouse Associate / Driver
Operation Blessing (OB) is looking for an experienced Warehouse Associate / Driver to ensure safe operation of assigned Operation Blessing (OB) box truck and/or OB tractor and trailer in compliance with the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), and OB company policy. Will provide effective shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehousing support to Operation Blessing's local Distribution Center, and facilitate product distribution to local ministry partners. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to OB's Biblical mission to extend a helping hand in Christ's name to meet physical and spiritual needs. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: Knowledge of DOT Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations Working knowledge of trailer product placement in accordance with Federal Bridge laws Skilled in hooking and unhooking tractor-trailer combination units Working knowledge of DOT 11hr/14hr/70hr drive/work rule within 6 months of employment Ability to perform FMCSA compliant vehicle inspections and accurately complete DVIR's Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory systems Skilled in MS Office, and industry standard inventory software applications Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish professional rapport with all levels of management, staff, and public Self-motivated with ability to work independently and be an effective member of a team Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail Flexible with ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time Ability to bend and lift 50+ pounds on a consistent basis Ability to travel as needed Demonstrated life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with OB's nonprofit Christian mission Required Licenses, Certificates, or Formal Education: Must have a Class "A" or Class "B" Commercial Driver's License DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate required Must pass DOT drug test and a non-DOT alcohol test prior to employment at OB Forklift certification Maintain acceptable driving record and valid driver's license Operation Blessing (OB) is a non-profit humanitarian organization that provides strategic relief on an ongoing basis through core programs such as hunger relief, medical care, clean water, and disaster relief.
