Under the supervision of the Director for Student Engagement, the administrative associate performs administrative support for the Office of Student Engagement, supervises student workers, and maintains a welcoming office environment. Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support for the staff members of the Office of Student Engagement, including but not limited to the director, assistant directors, program coordinators, graduate assistants, and volunteers. Initiate university processes for the office of student engagement, including travel documents, purchase requisitions, account reconciliations, and general office reports. Applies, interprets, and communicates policies and procedures, and serves as a resource for answering questions regarding policies. Maintains records and modifies forms. Performs data entry and retrieval and maintains data files. Prepares and proofs materials for reports and other publications. Prepares, modifies, and verifies office documents to include manuals, operating procedures, and inventory. Makes arrangements for meetings, appointments, conferences, and travel. Maintains office supplies and equipment. Maintains office reference materials, including online office materials. Tracks usage and billing for long-term contracts, services, and fixed assets. May deliver, pick up, or receive cash payments, documents, supplies, equipment, or materials. Perform other duties as assigned. Supports the division of student affairs for divisional efforts. Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of experience. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
