Senior Reserve Officer Training Corps Programs Deputy
Provide oversight to Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) programs operations. Represent Senior Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Programs to present while defending resource requirements of the organization. Serve as full deputy to the Brigade Commander performing the full range of managerial duties of military officers/civilian personnel. Supervise, lead, motivate, provide guidance, enforce standards and evaluate performance of military Professors of Military Science and their military and civilian staffs. Conduct research on a variety of programs such as recruiting retention and training for the organization. Oversee equitable redistribution of resources to battalions IAW organizational guidelines. Coordinate with higher headquarters, other Brigades, and externally with Installation Management. Advise Brigade and senior leadership on the status of contract and commission mission accomplishment in Senior ROTC Battalions. Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed Secret background investigation. This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 70% of the time. Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG) is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements. This position is designated as a Key position. This position is designated as a Mission Essential position.
