Senior Product Development Manager
You will be an integral part of a team responsible for delivering a powerful, scalable next-generation vehicle platform for future Toyota and Lexus vehicles. This platform will comprise a new centralized electrical architecture powered by Arene, Woven Planet's flagship programmable automotive software system that integrates on-vehicle OS and data collection services with the cloud. This team will deliver concept hardware and software solutions driven by high-quality UX research that defines an end-to-end product definition for Toyota's next-generation vehicles. This concept work will produce a full-stack solution starting with the digital services, the programmable software system, and the underlying compute and electrical architecture of the vehicle. This team represents the cutting edge of software and hardware development at Toyota. Your work will marry the speed and agility of Silicon Valley software development with the standards of functional safety, craftsmanship, and time-tested quality of Toyota products in a fast-paced and collaborative prototyping environment. Join the Arene Advanced Development team as a Senior Product Development Manager. Responsibilities include: Maintain and grow existing working groups to include development and business teams to build stronger ties and a pipeline to offramp new concepts onto production paths in NA region. Coordinates day-to-day with other TMC stakeholders to ensure alignment and that they complement one another. Oversees deliverables and timelines to ensure they remain on track. Supports user research operations including alignment on objectives and timelines, scheduling, and recruiting efforts. Aligns success criteria between all stakeholders. Tracks and measures success of the program and owns reporting to external stakeholders. Creates opportunities for reporting out research insights generated by the working group; also supports stakeholder reporting to ensure program visibility. Builds out opportunities for collaboration, including influencing external team roadmaps and forging production paths for products. Manages the program by driving forward the timelines and milestones. Supports New Product Development activities by maintaining and growing strategic partnerships with technology and service companies to enable greater speed of development and enabling technologies. Minimum qualifications: 8+ years experience in product development or business/partnerships development in consumer product or advanced automotive technology companies. Proven ability to create alignment through managing or influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Excellent communication skills and data-driven decision making. Clear customer focus with experience bringing together multiple stakeholders to develop towards a complex and ever-changing set of objectives. Proven track record of taking ownership, a motivated self-starter that can work independently. Proven success in delivering technology products/services in a high growth, ambiguous environment. Preferred qualifications: Other qualifications with experience working in technology companies and a strong aptitude for technology and empathy for the market. Deep experience working with Advanced Development, Business Development, and Engineering teams. Fluent English - strong written and verbal communication skills. For positions based in Palo Alto, CA, the base pay for this position ranges from $140,000- $230,000 a year. Your base salary is one part of your total compensation. We offer a base salary, short term and long term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. The total compensation offered to an employee will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and level.
