The Clinical Assistant Professor for Bengal Bridge in the Bengal Success Center will teach undergraduate academic skills courses, including First Year Transition, College Learning Strategies, and other courses designed to facilitate the success of undergraduate students. This position focuses on planning, recruiting, implementing strategic support initiatives, and teaching for the Bengal Bridge program, a seven-week summer semester designed to increase the success and retention of first-year college students. The Clinical Assistant Professor may teach general education courses during Bengal Bridge, preferably in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). The Clinical Assistant Professor will hold faculty rank, with opportunities for advancement and an emphasis on instruction and mentoring. Instructs ACAD 1104: First Year Transition, ACAD 1101: College Learning Strategies, ACAD 1103: College Learning Strategies for Math, and/or general education courses as part of the summer Bengal Bridge program and academic year (instructor must be approved by the appropriate academic department in order to teach the proposed general education course(s)) Provides mentoring, student development, and key academic information to Bengal Bridge students in order to enhance student learning, retention, persistence, and graduation Participates in registration and retention events and efforts specifically for Bengal Bridge, and in support of university admissions and registration initiatives Assists the program with recruitment efforts during the academic school year to identify and enroll first generation and limited income students for the summer program Works within an innovative, creative, and energetic environment to develop programs and processes in order to support our students' educational goals Supports the work of the Math Center, Writing Center, and/or Content Area Tutoring Collaborates closely with Idaho State University colleges and departments on student welfare, academic success, and retention Completes committee work, special projects, and assignments Fulfills other responsibilities as needed to ensure the delivery of high-quality academic success programming Minimum Qualifications

Masters degree (individuals nearing completion will be considered) At least one (1) year experience instructing in a college or high school setting At least one (1) year experience engaging with high school or college students in educational, advisory, support, outreach, or mentorship roles, including but not limited to college admissions, academic advising, student recruitment, counseling, or other educational focused programs or services Preferred Qualifications

Experience mentoring and working with first-generation/low-income students and families Masters degree in a STEM discipline field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Experience teaching in at least one STEM discipline Bilingual (English/Spanish) Additional Information

Salary will be between $54,000 - $58,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
