Recognized Midtown organization is currently seeking a Buyer to join their team in New York, New York. This role involves managing procurement activities, overseeing competitive bidding processes, and coordinating contracts to ensure efficient purchasing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing materials and negotiating contracts with vendors. Responsibilities: Manage procurement activities, including sourcing and purchasing materials to meet organizational needs. Conduct Request for Proposals (RFPs) to identify the best vendors and suppliers for goods and services. Oversee competitive bidding processes to ensure cost-effective and quality-driven purchasing decisions. Draft, review, and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance and alignment with company policies. Collaborate with internal teams to forecast purchasing needs and maintain optimal inventory levels. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing. Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements. Analyze market trends and supplier options to identify cost-saving opportunities. Maintain accurate records of all purchasing transactions and contracts. Develop and implement strategies to improve procurement efficiency. Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing or procurement functions. Proficiency in managing RFPs, contracts, and competitive bidding processes. Strong knowledge of purchasing activities, including sourcing and inventory management. Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders. Familiarity with procurement regulations and compliance standards. Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Bachelors Degree a must.
