Office Assistant Position

We are looking for an organized and proactive Office Assistant to join our team in Cortland, New York. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced office environment and enjoys providing support to both executives and general office operations. The role involves a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact at the front desk by greeting visitors and managing incoming calls. Provide administrative support to the president, including scheduling and handling daily tasks. Assist with coffee and lunch runs 2-3 times per week as needed. Perform document scanning and organize files for easy access and retrieval. Execute general clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and correspondence. Maintain office supplies and ensure the workspace remains well-organized. Support team members with ad hoc administrative tasks to enhance productivity. Foster a detail-oriented and welcoming atmosphere for both staff and visitors. Requirements: At least 1 year of experience in an office assistant or administrative role. Proficiency in receptionist duties, including answering inbound calls and managing visitor interactions. Familiarity with document scanning and organizing systems. Strong clerical skills, including data entry and file management. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed.
