PAC Production Assistant Student Employee

This position involves selling tickets during the weekday as well as evening & weekends preceding performances, office work, distribution of promotional material (on campus), and assisting the production coordinator with auditions. Campus Location: Des Plaines Length of Employment: August 2025- May 2026, with opportunity for assignment renewal. Can a student do homework in this position? Often Hours Available: Box office has shifts available from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. We also have evening hours, usually 6:00 - 9:00 pm on show and audition day Schedule Flexibility: The schedule is flexible. Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities (TDRs) and Learning Outcomes: Selling Tickets (CM, PF, TC) Office Work (CD, CM, TW, TC) Distribution of Promotional Material (TW, TC) Assisting the Production Coordinator with Auditions (CM, PF, TW, TC) Candidate Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities or KSOAs): Qualified candidates will have the following competencies and skills. Must be a currently enrolled at Oakton College in at least 6 credit hours during the Fall and Spring semesters. Employment over the summer is allowed for students taking at least 1 credit class during the summer, or students continuing registration into the following Fall semester. Must have an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher and be in good standing at Oakton College. Eligible to work in the United States. Able to stand and sit for extended periods of time. Demonstrated reliability and responsibility. Friendly, flexible, organized, courteous, and punctuality a must. Exceptional communication and organizational skills with strong detail orientation preferred. Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office and Google technology (GSUITE) preferred Demonstrated ability to work independently. Some evening and weekend hours. Ability to complete assignments at both the Skokie and Des Plaines campuses is preferred. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
