Position Summary
The Steward / Dishwasher maintains cleanliness of kitchen, loading dock, and back of house area. They maintain cleanliness of tableware, glassware, and kitchen equipment while minimizing breakage. The Steward position reports to the Executive Chef. Job Posting Deadline
Applications for this position will be accepted until August 10, 2025. Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
Scarpe, stack, and clean all dishes properly
Store dishes and silver in the designated locations
Set up cleaning area: put dish machine together properly, fill all water tanks, turn on heating elements to dish machine
Keep dish area clean and organized according to policy
Clean kitchen walls, floors, loading docks, and other associated areas at the proper time
Disassemble, clean and re-assemble dishwasher prior to end of shift
Post appropriate caution signs when the floor is wet or being mopped to ensure highest level of safety
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean orderly condition
Other duties assigned Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements
Must be at least 16 years of age
High School Diploma or high school equivalent preferred
6 months to 1 year of back of house experience preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of company policies and procedures
Familiarity with company rules, regulations, and operational standards
Basic industry terminology
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Ability to do basic problem-solving
Ability to identify straightforward issues and propose simple solutions
Proficiency in communicating clearly both verbally and in writing to team members and customers
Ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals
Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasks
Attention to detail

Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, smell, taste, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.
