Job duties include working independently performing budgetary duties with a minimum amount of direct supervision. Provides assistance and guidelines to unit staff by preparing budgetary reports, requisitions and encumbrance records. Provides staff with accurate information on all budgetary and fiscal matters. Responsible for processing and coordinating all purchasing and travel vouchers for the Tallahassee Forestry Center (TFC). Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of department purchasing rules, regulations and contract procedures. Initiates and tracks all requisitions and purchase orders. Responsible for maintaining and coordinating all fiscal records. Posts and monitors records and books-of-account in accordance with established procedures. Responsible for installing adequate budget/fiscal control measures to ensure procedural/budget compliance. Provides for accounting of receipts, purchasing, invoices, travel vouchers, encumbrance records, requisitions, budget reports and reconcilliation of Detail Disbursement Reports. Responsible for processing monthly budget and expense reports for the TFC. Maintains accurate encumbrance records for all center budget codes. Prepares encumbrance reports, expense records and budget records. Responsible for following current department policies and procedures in the preparation of all budget reports. Responsible for selected administrative functions for the TFC. This includes assisting visitors and providing information as requested. Performs other related work as assigned, which may include the handling of revenue.
