Your experience in construction accounting practices will be highly valued. Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Process vendor invoices with precision, ensuring alignment with payment terms. Reconcile accounts payable aging reports, guaranteeing timely supplier and subcontractor payments. Maintain robust vendor relationships, addressing discrepancies and inquiries effectively. Prepare and execute weekly or bi-weekly payment runs. Billing & Accounts Receivable Generate and issue client invoices per contract terms, including progress billing, retention, and final billings. Manage outstanding receivables, following up promptly on overdue payments and maintaining client communication. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies. Collaborate with project managers to ensure billing accuracy in line with project timelines and budgets. Sales Tax Compliance Prepare and file sales tax returns in adherence to state and local regulations. Maintain precise sales tax transaction records for audits and compliance. Stay informed on tax regulation changes to ensure ongoing compliance. Qualifications
Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Over 5 years of proven accounting experience, with a specialization in accounts payable, receivable, billing, and sales tax, preferably in construction. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Procore) and the MS Office Suite. Thorough understanding of billing processes and project-based accounting. Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations within the construction sector. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Competent in working independently and collaboratively. Compensation
Competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
