Full-Time Medical Assistant
at Hamilton Gastroenterology Group in Hamilton, NJ. This position will require travel to our other satellite offices in Hamilton and Robbinsville. Both offices are within 2-10 minutes from our main office. About the Role
The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in the healthcare team at Hamilton Gastro, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and support throughout their visit. This position involves a combination of clinical and administrative tasks, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the healthcare delivery process. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for preparing patients for examinations, assisting healthcare providers during procedures, and managing patient records. By effectively utilizing electronic health records and maintaining accurate documentation, the Medical Assistant contributes to the overall patient experience and safety. Ultimately, this role is vital in fostering a welcoming environment and ensuring that patients feel cared for and informed during their healthcare journey. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a medical assistant training program. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent. Experience in a gastroenterology or similar healthcare setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures. Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse patient population. Responsibilities
Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Perform venipuncture and other laboratory tests as required, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Manage electronic health records, ensuring all patient information is accurate and up-to-date. Handle multi-line phone systems and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
