Engineering Test Technician
As a member of the Battery Test Team, you will play an active role in the characterization and validation of the high voltage battery packs. You will support test engineers with various projects that thermally, mechanically, and electrically stress components. This might include building test harnesses, running/monitoring an active setup, making thermocouples, or occasionally assisting offsite. Each week will be different. This is a startup and things move quickly. You will learn and develop many valuable, hands-on engineering lab skills along the way. Responsibilities
Build fixtures and test stands Operate test equipment Assist with battery safety testing Instrument Devices Under Test (DUTs) with sensors for data collection Troubleshoot wiring issues as they come up Assist test engineer with test execution and monitoring Maintain equipment and keep a neat and organized lab Preferred Skills and Experience
High school diploma or GED 2+ years of experience in an aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, or lab environment in a technician role or similar Demonstrated fabrication and assembly skills Must be able to lift up to 30lbs Competency in Microsoft Excel Past work with or around electric vehicle batteries and high voltage is a preferred but not required Additional Requirements
We are looking for a responsible team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment. This person should be a self-starter and able to work with minimal oversight. We need someone who takes pride in their work. Not everything needs to be done fast, but eventually everything will need to be done right. This is a full-time onsite position with hours between 8am and 5pm. California Pay Range $80,000 - $100,000 USD
