The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleaning and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, cutlery, kitchen utensils, and other kitchen equipment, using both automatic and manual cleaning methods. Ensures that kitchen and service areas are kept clean, organized, and ready for efficient operation. Operates dishwashers to clean and disinfect dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Hand washes delicate items and larger kitchen tools as needed. Ensures all washed items are spotless, free of food particles, and properly dried before storing. Stores clean items correctly in designated areas. Maintains cleanliness of dishwashing and kitchen areas, including sweeping and mopping floors. Organizes and restocks cleaning supplies as needed. Assists kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks during peak activity periods. Disposes of kitchen waste and garbage according to hotel standards. Ensures all equipment and facilities are used and maintained safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations. Works closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure the quick turnover of dishes and utensils. Communicates effectively with team members to maintain smooth operations and address any issues promptly. Participates in team meetings and training sessions as needed. Follows all company safety and security policies; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisor. Qualifications
Hospitality oriented Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Great attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Basic understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation standards Must be able to bend, squat, stand for long periods, stretch, reach above and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and crouching. Move on inclined, uneven, or slippery surfaces and lift up to 60 pounds. Must work well under pressure, even with minimal supervision Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays Must have good communication in English and Spanish The Condado Collection is an equal opportunity employer.
