We're looking for an experienced, results-driven reading teacher who is passionate about helping students become confident, skilled readers. The ideal candidate is a successful classroom teacher with a proven track record of growing reading achievement and a love of literacy. You should bring deep knowledge of the Science of Reading and effective phonics instruction, along with the ability to motivate students to love books, build foundational skills, and make measurable progress. We especially value professionals who: Have a strong record of moving students forward in reading achievement Believe every child can excel when held to high expectations Know how to diagnose reading needs and deliver systematic, evidence-based instruction Love sharing the joy of reading and helping students feel proud of their progress Are reflective, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement Collaborate well with colleagues and families What You'll Do
Provide small-group and one-on-one reading intervention for students who need extra support Use assessments and data to identify skill gaps, monitor progress, and adjust instruction Implement research-based practices aligned with the Science of Reading and structured phonics instruction Create a positive, structured environment that motivates students to engage and grow Collaborate with classroom teachers to align supports and share progress Communicate regularly with families about goals and results Participate in coaching, professional development, and school events Build a culture where reading is exciting, important, and accessible to all students Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (required) At least three years of successful teaching experience in reading or elementary literacy (required) Demonstrated success growing student reading achievement (required) Strong knowledge of the Science of Reading, phonics instruction, and evidence-based literacy practices (required) Ability to analyze data and tailor instruction to student needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Benefits
