The Walmart US Controllership team is central to Walmart's financial integrity, driving the company's retail growth strategy. We operate with a focus on enabling seamless shopping experiences for our customers. In this role, you will manage the financial reporting and consolidation for Walmart's main segment. You will offer guidance on the structure of financial statements and their accounting implications. What You'll Do:
Lead period-end financial reporting activities, including month-end close coordination and external financial reporting preparation. Review significant transactions to ensure accurate forecasting and financial statement presentation. Advise on general ledger structuring to ensure proper consolidation and reporting. Champion financial reporting transformation efforts across teams within Walmart US Controllership. Collaborate with finance, investor relations, segment accounting teams, and master data governance to ensure cohesive financial reporting processes. What You'll Bring:
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for reimagining processes with new technologies. Clear and effective communication skills for diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to influence business partners in large, matrixed organizations. Deep knowledge of US GAAP, especially in complex areas like revenue recognition and business combinations. CPA with Big 4 experience and a background in accounting or auditing at large US public companies. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years' experience in finance, accounting, or related area OR 6 years' experience in finance, accounting, or related area. 1 year's supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications:
