Senior Manager, Global Lease Center of Expertise (GLCE)

The Global Lease Center of Expertise, or GLCE, ensures that Walmart lease accounting is properly accounted for and disclosed. We are global, dual GAAP (US and IFRS), all things leases (technical, controls, process and systems) and known for our customer service and accuracy. The Senior Manager, Global Lease Center of Expertise (GLCE) at Walmart is a critical role that combines deep knowledge of lease accounting with expertise in controls, financials, processes, and systems to ensure Walmart properly accounts for its leases. This role provides a great opportunity to deepen knowledge of retail lease accounting, train and develop international talent, and drive the adoption of best practices. You'll make an impact by: Lease Actions Review

ensure lease transactions are properly accounted for by reviewing lease actions in lease systems. Accounting Consultations

provide accounting guidance on market lease accounting consultations using strong technical skills and research. Global Training

develop tools, courses, and quick lessons to teach global accountants, building confidence in complex accounting and preventing errors. Best Practices

learn from industry peers and internal processes to tailor best practices to Walmart, teach, and drive change. Building Strategic Relationships

build and maintain relationships with markets, controllership peers, finance, business operators, and industry peers to improve processes and contribute to the industry. Operating with excellence

maintain a history of excellence, present at all levels, and develop oneself and others. Project Management

organize and coordinate accounting policy projects, including planning, fact gathering, impact analysis, and reporting. Internal Controls

ensure internal controls for leases are designed and operating effectively as business strategies evolve. Lease System Validation

perform detailed testing of lease system accounting functionality to ensure effective implementation of new systems or upgrades to existing systems. You'll sweep us off our feet if: You have proven work experience with complex lease accounting technical conclusions, processes and controls. You're a master at making complex subjects easily understood. You have high standards and can hold project contributors accountable. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years' experience in finance, accounting, or related area OR 6 years' experience in finance, accounting, or related area. 1 year's supervisory experience. Skills and Competencies: Proven work experience with complex lease accounting technical conclusions, processes, and controls. Strong financial acumen and technical/analytical capabilities. Ability to articulate complex points in a simplistic manner. Organized, disciplined, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong project management experience and skills. Ability to build an internal network and influence cross-functionally. Customer-centric mindset and execution. Location: Position is located at headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas. A comprehensive relocation package will be provided. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
