Service Life Analysis Engineer
You will be a full-time Service Life Analysis Engineer for the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) in Fort Worth, Texas. A successful candidate will provide structural analysis support in Service Life Analysis related tasks for F-16 and F-22 aircraft. Primary tasks will include performing Durability and Damage Tolerance analysis using fracture mechanics to support force management activities, field and depot needs, and ground testing. Specific responsibilities will include managing small Service Life Analysis projects/teams from a technical and project management perspective. In this role, you will apply your understanding of Durability and Damage Tolerance (DADT) analysis using fracture mechanics to support Material Review Board (MRB) activities for the F-16 Block 70 production line. Responsibilities for this position will include: Fatigue/Durability and Damage Tolerance Analysis to support new product designs and production of metallic structures Use of in-house crack growth analysis tools to perform required service life analysis to evaluate MRB dispositions Support MRB activity for non-conforming parts and provide structural recommendations to substantiate dispositions Develop a clear understanding of F-16 methods and procedures Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks appropriately From onsite to remote, we offer flexible work schedules to comprehensive benefits investing in your future and security. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, equivalent experience/combined education considered Professional experience in a Structural Analysis position Experience supporting MRB activity for non-conforming parts and providing structural recommendations to substantiate dispositions Desired Skills: Strong understanding of production process and ability to make appropriate risk-based decision Demonstrated experience and knowledge in airframe drawings, structural load paths, aircraft structural behavior, fracture mechanics methods, and aircraft maintenance requirements Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide early career engineers Strong communication skills Understanding of Aircraft Structural Integrity Programs under MIL-STD-1530 Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work, multi-task, and manage time effectively Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
