Condado Collection Overview

The Condado Collection is a collection of hospitality properties in Puerto Rico, from classic and modern luxury hotels to restaurants and entertainment. STK San Juan is a world-renowned restaurant with a unique concept that fuses the modern "steakhouse" with an elegant lounge in a culinary experience with the quality of a traditional "steakhouse". Let's build a collection of memories together! Responsibilities

Prepare the station adequately and on time for each service period.

Ensure all food is prepared according to the recipes designated by the supervisor.

Guarantee the quality and quantity of the food are correct.

Ensure the food is sent to the correct area on time.

Cook food and prepare high-quality dishes promptly according to recipes/menu.

Follow closely and adhere to production schedules.

After service, turn off and clean preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food handling practices.

Ensure the freshness of food and ingredients by checking quality, keeping track of new and old items, and rotating stock.

Ensure food is stored and cooked at the right temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, grills, and broilers.

Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.

Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.

Estimate expected food consumption, requisition or purchase supplies, or acquire food from storage.

Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus, taking into account factors such as costs and special event needs.

Maintain records and accounts.

Understand the impact of kitchen operation on the overall financial goals of the property.

Follow all company safety and security policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to achieve common goals.

Ensure compliance with expectations and quality standards.

Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

Hospitality-oriented.

Ability to bend, squat, stand for long periods, stretch, reach above and below the knees. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Capable of handling difficult situations effectively. Must work well under pressure, even with minimal supervision.

Technical culinary knowledge.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Must possess good communication skills in Spanish and English. The Condado Collection is an equal opportunity employer.
