Communications Coordinator

Communications Coordinator supports the firms internal and external communications efforts. They are responsible for supporting the Associate Director of Communications, Communications Specialist and other marketing team members on all day-to-day communications campaigns. The Communications Coordinator will support content creation and distribution and will facilitate incoming internal and external communications tasks. Job Functions & Responsibilities Awards

Draft firm and individual attorney award nominations for legal/industry and pro bono awards. Monitor and report on awards won.

Website / Intranet

Draft and post content on the website and intranet, including news announcements, case wins, award recognitions, speaking engagements and other firm activities. Support intranet content development and update as needed. Monitor and report on website content and analytics. Implement website updates and audits as needed.

Social Media

Draft and post content on LinkedIn and other social media sites as directed, liaising with the graphics team and other internal departments as needed. Maintain and execute the firms LinkedIn calendar. Monitor and report on LinkedIn analytics.

Press and Media Relations

Track media placements, attorney-authored contributed content and other media activities. Provide firm assets including photos and imagery for attorney-authored content.

Internal Communications

Create and distribute internal newsletters, client alerts and memos. Maintain and regularly update content assets. Work on other communications projects as assigned.

Other

Develop a deep understanding of the firms practice areas and attorneys. Ensure distributed content is final, approved and proofed before implementation. Coordinate project timelines and proactively follow-up on deadlines. Maintain necessary documentation and trackers to inform real-time reporting and analysis. Support firm leadership with projects as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Tools Research platforms, such as Manzama, Lexis Nexis, etc. Minimum Job Qualifications Bachelors degree required. 2+ years of experience as a writer or working in a marketing function, ideally within a news room, law firm, consulting, or professional services environment. Strong writing and editing skills. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to support multiple projects with various stakeholders with flexibility, composure and the ability to prioritize urgent tasks and requests simultaneously with a high level of competence and accuracy. Experience supporting projects that include multiple stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Ability to proofread for style, accuracy and presentation, sometimes working on multiple documents simultaneously. Ability to remain composed and professional under stressful circumstances while providing strong customer service and a sensitivity to ethical and confidentiality requirements. Ability to communicate effectively and develop partnerships with attorneys, professionals, and peers. Ability to be available, as needed, to work extended hours. Ability to perform competitive research and synthesize data into reports. Other duties, as assigned.
