Entry-Level Sales Engineer

Nailor Industries, Inc. is an industry-leading, customer-focused provider of innovative commercial and industrial HVAC solutions. Nailor manufactures a unique and comprehensive line of products, including Air Control & Distribution products, VAV Terminal Units, Green Building products, Fan Coil Units, Electric Duct Heaters, Sound Attenuators, Air Handling Units, and Filter Housings. We are currently seeking an entry-level Sales Engineer to assist with the sales of our products and services in a relatable manner that is understandable to both technical and non-technical customers. The position reports to the Sales Manager and is based in Houston, TX. We Are Looking For A High Character Person Who:

Effectively communicates with Leadership, fellow employees, and customers both internally and externally. Understands and lives the company culture and is dependable. Coordinates with our partners to ensure customer satisfaction Duties:

Builds partnering relationships with Consulting Engineer accounts to earn basis of design (BOD), influence specifications, and lead account and project strategies to grow our account share across the spectrum of HVAC Systems offerings. Consistently drives specifications towards the Nailor line card with consulting engineers, not only earning BOD, but also influencing written specifications to provide value to the customers and differentiation from competitors. Makes selections for Consulting Engineerscoordinates to get "approved equal" status on Nailor offerings. Actively calls on assigned Manufacturing partners to sell the entire range of Nailor's line card with emphasis on strategic opportunities. Participates in and collaborates with the Manufacturer's Representative network's Sales Engineers to pursue projects based on account assignments. Understands Nailor's strengths and competitors' weaknesses and drives opportunities to provide our Representatives with a maximum advantage. Leverages subject matter experts from within Nailor to better position and optimize proposed offerings and systems, as needed. Conducts technical presentations on our offerings and positions as a subject matter expert to assigned accounts and key product lines. Keeps management informed of progress and account status. Leverages management with accounts, such as local, area, and/or executive leadership engagement and sponsorship, when and where appropriate. Utilizes applicable sales tools effectively to plan, build a pipeline of opportunity, and document progress, as well as increase penetration of accounts. Develops a solid understanding and remains current on industry standards, pertinent building codes, and best practices for the design of HVAC systems. Assists in the development of the team's sales and marketing plans and strategies. Aides in the implementation of these strategies and action plans. Targets new customers or projects based on account management and market strategies. Participates in professional organizations for personal development, building customer relationships, and industry networking within the local market community. Travel is expected to be ~25%. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, business administration, or a related field, preferred, or relevant industry experience.
