Process Engineer Allentown, PA, United States facility Full-Time Process Engineer responsible for prove-in, operation, improvement and maintenance of optoelectronic manufacturing processes in a production environment. Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities Responsible for the process engineering of complex optical packages. Drive end to end yield improvements and touch time reduction. Drive root cause analysis and correction of production failures. Responsible for optical module mechanical assembly and material handing methods, to include: Work instructions, personnel training, process improvement, FMA, process controls and measurables. Report production and yield results to production team and management Support LEAN manufacturing and Cost Reduction activities Responsible for resolving engineering issues for released products. Source and develop equipment required for new products or capacity expansion Be able to work independently and prioritize tasks Education / Experience BS or MS in science or engineering required Manufacturing experience is a plus Knowledge / Skills / Abilities The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, analytic, detail-oriented, possesses quantitative analysis skills, is self-motivated, a great team member, able to pro-actively communicate with all employees and work well in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Proficient with statistical analysis, experience with JMP a plus. Experience with Agile and SAP, a plus. Electrical and Mechanical technical abilities MRSI bonder experience a plus Optical Alignment experience a plus Solder reflow process experience a plus CAD skills SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo is a plus This position requires interface throughout all levels and functions of the organization.
