Job Description The Sr. Director has responsibility and accountability for Epidemiology strategic research plans and agendas, execution of studies and projects within those plans for a portfolio of assets/brands/indications across a therapeutic area. Leads a team of scientists globally, guiding and consulting across therapeutic areas worldwide, and influencing enterprise-level strategies. The role involves resource management, team development, and reporting to the VP, Head of Epidemiology. The Sr. Director is a member of the Global Epidemiology Leadership Team and plays a key role in shaping team culture and capabilities. Responsibilities: Communicate findings effectively
to internal leadership (e.g., Executive Leadership, VPs, GMs) and external stakeholders (e.g., Regulatory Authorities, KOLs). Create strategic plans
for all products within assigned therapeutic areas, ensuring relevance to product development and market needs. Lead interactions
with cross-functional leaders, designing, conducting, and analyzing projects across multiple programs. Drive epidemiology programs
supporting pipeline and on-market products, meeting ethical, scientific, regulatory, and commercial requirements. Develop and execute post-marketing commitments
and safety/effectiveness evidence gathering. Manage the end-to-end delivery
of the Global Epidemiology work portfolio, from strategy to execution. Ensure strong partnerships
with Clinical Science functions and Centers of Excellence to represent epidemiology in cross-functional meetings. Qualifications: Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD/MS) in (pharmaco)epidemiology. Minimum of 12 years (Master's) or 10 years (PhD) experience in clinical development, with expertise in a therapeutic specialty. Experience in clinical research and pharmaceutical industry preferred. Knowledge of global regulatory landscape and development functions. Proven leadership in managing scientific personnel and cross-functional teams. Strong strategic influence and goal-oriented mindset. Additional Information The compensation range is based on job grade and may vary by location.
