Accounting Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expert-level QuickBooks proficiency, experience handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), and a strong background in invoicing, vendor payments, and payroll processing. Additionally, the candidate must have experience in non-profit accounting, ensuring compliance with grant reporting, fund accounting, and financial transparency requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions. Generate, review, and distribute invoices while maintaining accurate billing records. Process vendor payments, reconcile statements, and manage vendor relationships. Handle payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees. Maintain financial records in QuickBooks, including journal entries and reconciliations. Ensure compliance with non-profit accounting standards, including grant management and fund accounting. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare and maintain financial reports to support grant compliance and board presentations. Ensure compliance with financial policies, tax regulations, and non-profit reporting requirements. Qualifications & Skills Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online). 3+ years of experience in AP, AR, invoicing, vendor payments, and payroll. Experience in non-profit accounting (fund accounting, grant tracking, and compliance). Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices. High attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors, grantors, and internal teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is a plus. Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $26.00 - $29.00
