This role requires a candidate with more than 7 years of experience in IT, specializing in Snowflake data engineering, including design, data modeling, development, and performance tuning. The candidate will work on building cloud-based data warehouse solutions for F2B clients. Responsibilities
Design, build, and test end-to-end data pipelines, including data ingestion (streaming, events, batch), data integration, and curation. Develop and deploy scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on cloud infrastructure using Azure, Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, Cosmos DB. Implement automation of jobs and testing processes. Optimize data pipelines for workloads and use cases. Support mission-critical applications and near real-time data needs. Address data and environment issues, perform impact analysis, root cause analysis, and maintenance. Implement data models, transformations, and schema designs for analytics and reporting. Tune Snowflake performance, including query optimization, resource management, and scaling strategies. Requirements & Skills
Experience with microservices architecture and cloud computing is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting DevOps pipelines and Azure services. Proficiency with DBT, Apache Airflow, Snowflake utilities (SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Snowlight). Deep understanding of Snowflake features like resource monitors, RBAC, virtual warehouse sizing, query performance tuning, zero-copy cloning, time travel. Experience handling semi-structured data (JSON, XML) in Snowflake. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. 10+ years in database and data warehouse development. Extensive SQL development experience, including stored procedures, in relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server. 8+ years in Snowflake development and cloud-based development with Azure, Kubernetes, Docker. Additional Preferences
Experience with Databricks or Scala is a plus. Financial services experience is preferred. Strong communication and team collaboration skills. Work Location & Benefits
