Adaptive Fitness
The Associate Program Coordinator, reporting to the Adaptive Fitness Program Coordinator, will lead our Adaptive Fitness Program, ACCESS to Exercise at the Oak Square YMCA. This program targets individuals that have a mobility disability due to spinal cord injury, or neurological condition, focusing on structured exercise routines with adaptive fitness equipment. Responsibilities include running the program at our Oak Square location in Brighton, tailoring safe, effective regimens for each member of the program, managing part-time staff, and collaborating with site leadership. Key Functions/Responsibilities: Performance Achievement -- Accountable for the performance of the program at the Oak Square site. Directly responsible for hiring, coaching and managing all direct reports and ensuring compliance with association hiring practices for all positions within their organizational structure. Conducts annual meetings with staff to review performance against programs key performance metrics. This person will also work well with others and support career development aspirations. Customer Service and Experience -- Create a welcoming environment for members, guiding them through the program and integrating them into our fitness floors. Direct Service -- Primary job responsibility to engage with members through the program sites. Buildout exercise routines for each participant and ensure compliance and support for everyone. Building connections and communities to increase member retention and engagement. Accessibility requirements for all participants. Customer Service and Experience
Train, coach, and hold staff accountable to exemplary service to members, program participants. Respond immediately to member feedback and any center concerns. Operational Effectiveness -- Ensures YMCA of Greater Boston's standards of excellence around scheduling, cleanliness and safety are met. Communicate and elevate any safety concerns, facility or equipment maintenance issues to appropriate team members. Member Engagement
Utilizes Appointment King to schedule individuals for sessions and ensure they are cared for and supported on each visit. Candidate is willing to adjust to additional scheduling platforms to support members in the program. Marketing and Community Engagement -- Represents and promotes the Adaptive Fitness Program with our partners who can support our growth in this unit. Ensures positive relationships with healthcare providers and shares critical data as needed. Collaboration -- Work in a collaborative manner with other departments and site leadership. Benefits
