The City of Bothell is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the Northshore Parks and Recreation Service Area (NPRSA), a special taxing district responsible for administering a levy that fund capital improvements and maintenance of parks facilities.
In this collaborative role, you will work closely with the NPRSA Program Manager to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the organization that focuses on supportive office management tasks. The administrative/ financial operations encompass a variety of duties to support the organization which includes but not limited to, records management, assisting with accounts payables/ receivables, data management, document drafting, and coordinating meetings, agendas and reports for the board, member agencies, and the community. Northshore Parks and Recreation Service Area (NPRSA):
The NPRSA is a special purpose district governed by elected officials from Bothell, Woodinville, Kenmore, King, and Snohomish Counties, owning senior center facilities.
NPRSA requires professional and administrative services to implement a voter-approved levy, manage two facilities, oversee capital projects, repairs, renovations, and administer a cost-share program for member-owned facilities.
Its responsibilities include levying and collecting taxes, proposing legislation to member agencies, approving budgets, adopting spending policies, holding meetings per the Open Public Meetings Act, executing contracts, adopting procurement policies consistent with the Administering Agency, retaining ownership of its properties, and overseeing services and legal obligations. What will you do in this position? Administrative/ Records Management: Organize and maintain comprehensive records to ensure accurate and accessible information. Financial Operation: Support account payables and receivables processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions. Data Management: Manage data systems to provide reliable information for decision-making and reporting. Document Drafting: Prepare and draft documents that support the day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. Meeting Coordination: Arrange and coordinate meetings for the board, member agencies, and community stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and information sharing. Report Coordination: Assist in the preparation and distribution of reports to keep all parties informed of progress and developments. Other duties as assigned.
