● Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to design, develop, modify, or integrate information systems. ● Devises or modifies application systems and procedures to optimize functional requirements, including capacity, operating time, response time, and desired results. ● Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs, subroutines, and scripts. ● Maintains technical skills in software languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities, and networks needed to support work assignments. ● Responds to system failures and performance issues by taking measures to reduce downtime and prevent recurrence. ● May conduct presentations to educate end users on system utilization. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience (one year of experience per year of college). Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Core Java, C#, Object-Oriented design, Node.js. Experience in designing, developing, and implementing RESTful/SOAP web services using Java technologies. Knowledge of API design, data serialization (JSON/XML), and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT). Experience working in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. SQL Skills: Strong SQL skills for database management, including querying, updating, and data modeling. Understanding of SQL concepts like joins, subqueries, indexing, and optimization. Testing and Debugging: Ability to write and execute unit tests, troubleshoot issues, and participate in code reviews. Tools and Technologies: Experience with version control systems (Azure Git, IBM RTC, TFS), testing tools (SoapUI, Postman, JMeter, Insomnia), and database IDEs (SQL Server Management Studio, DBeaver). Familiarity with IBM WebSphere, Jenkins, Maven, Ant, Eclipse, IntelliJ. Software Development: Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies, including Scrum. Note:
