Senior Accountant/Operations Bethesda, MD - Onsite $85-100K The Role Our client, a boutique real estate firm in Bethesda, MD, is looking for an experienced, highly organized, and proactive Senior Accountant/Operations to lead and streamline the day-to-day operations of their firm. You’ll report directly to the company principals and may oversee administrative support staff. This is a hands-on role with wide-ranging responsibility across accounting/finance, HR, legal, and general operations. Responsibilities Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes Oversee accounts receivable/payable and ensure timely tax filings Manage general accounting functions and support external accountants as needed Handle HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, retention strategies, and employee engagement Oversee company insurance policies and compliance-related matters Serve as the liaison for legal and regulatory affairs, including contract oversight Improve internal processes and workflows to increase efficiency Collaborate with leadership on operational strategy and business planning Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, operations experience a+ BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration Proven experience managing budgets, AR/AP, and reporting functions Familiarity with HR practices, employment law basics, and recruiting Exceptional organizational and communication skills Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and problem-solving mindset Experience in a real estate or professional services environment is a plus Seniority level
