The Torts Division of the Washington State Attorney General’s Office is hiring an Assistant Attorney General (AAG) for the Early Resolution Program (ERP) Team in Tumwater. Alternative worksites may be available in Tacoma, Seattle, or Spokane, based on needs and interests.

Position Requirements:
Must meet qualifications for an Assistant Attorney General, succeed in mediating and resolving legal matters in various courts, and possess strong lawyering, communication, organizational, and case management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Interest in public sector law
Excellent advocacy, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Judgment and discretion for sensitive issues
Extensive mediation and litigation experience, especially in insurance defense
Teamwork and inclusivity are essential. Candidates must have graduated from an ABA-accredited law school or completed the WSBA Rule 6 Law Clerk Program and be licensed in Washington.
