Position Requirements:
Must meet qualifications for an Assistant Attorney General, succeed in mediating and resolving legal matters in various courts, and possess strong lawyering, communication, organizational, and case management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Interest in public sector law
Excellent advocacy, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Judgment and discretion for sensitive issues
Extensive mediation and litigation experience, especially in insurance defense
Teamwork and inclusivity are essential. Candidates must have graduated from an ABA-accredited law school or completed the WSBA Rule 6 Law Clerk Program and be licensed in Washington. Candidates actively pursuing admission will also be considered. The AGO values diversity and encourages applicants from varied backgrounds to apply.
