Position: Mortgage Underwriter - Residential Lending
Location: North Hollywood, CA (On-site required)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Salary: $75,000 to $95,000 annually, plus bonus
Employment Type: Full-time
Overview:
Our client, a well-established mortgage lender in North Hollywood, is seeking an experienced residential mortgage underwriter with strong Non-QM experience to join their team. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on Non-QM, Agency, and FHA underwriting.

Responsibilities:
- Full file underwriting of residential loans including Non-QM, Agency, and FHA
- Analyze complex income and asset documentation (Bank Statements, P&L, WVOE, DSCR, and asset-based lending)
- Ensure files meet all investor and internal guidelines
- Communicate with internal teams to support smooth pipeline flow
- Stay current on industry guidelines and changes
- At least 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience
- Non-QM underwriting experience is required
- Proficiency in Encompass LOS
- Familiarity with Agency and FHA guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Candidates actively working or with a recent gap of less than 6 months
- Comfortable working on-site in North Hollywood
- Base salary: $75,000-$95,000 depending on experience
- Bonus potential
