Our client, a global systematic Hedge Fund is looking to add a Quantitative Researcher focused on Power dispatch modelling to a PM team.
Responsibilities:
Designing, executing and maintaining power dispatch models for ERCOT and other US ISOs
Ensuring efficient simulation of power grid conditions and marginal pricing
Collaborate with the PM on model architecture
Communicate results and limitations to the wider investment team
Requirements:
Master's or PhD in Operations Research, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a similar field
5+ years of experience in power dispatch models
Experience with Python and SQL
Knowledge across ERCOT, PJM and CAISO
