Associate Director of Workforce Innovation for Enrollment & Student Success

Position Summary:
The Associate Director of Workforce Innovation is a grant position. The position reports directly to the Director of Workforce Innovation and Industry Partnerships, working closely with the Dean for Career and Workforce Innovation. The Associate Director is primarily responsible for overseeing the enrollment and student success activities of Workforce Innovation. In this capacity, the Associate Director drafts scheduling recommendations for upcoming semesters, provides recommendations of new programs and courses, establishes metrics and tracks outcomes for student success and achievement, and supervises the enrollment and student success specialists. The role also oversees the hiring and payment processes of workforce instructors and the administrative process of new program development. This position maintains records of the incoming revenue and provides updates regarding net profits. Although the Associate Director of Workforce Innovation supervises the daily operations and management, the role also contributes and collaborates closely regarding the vision and strategic planning of the department. The position will also work closely with the Director to develop and enhance partnerships with community stakeholders, non-profits, community-based organizations, and employers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develop research, communication, and continuous improvement activities that support departmental strategic goals in collaboration with leadership and stakeholders. Provides college-wide coordination for any daily operational processes, such as Slate applications, collaboration with Student Accounts or Financial Aid, and the facilitation of programming/events with other departments on campus Oversight of management for the enrollment and student success services, including the integrated enrollment, financial assistance, records, registration of students, and support of holistic student completion. Identify and evaluate innovative strategies and solutions, experimental designs and practices, and successful implementations from various settings (e.g., education, business and industry, and not-for-profit) to support enrollment and academic achievement outcomes. Involved with meeting the strategic goals of the department and assisting in the continuous improvement process when evaluating the department's effectiveness. Manage special projects assigned by the Dean for Career and Workforce Innovation requiring research, data collection, analysis, implementation, and reporting. Participate in grant oversight and providing data for interim and final grant reports. Assist in developing and measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting progress. Develop strategies to cultivate and grow relationships with past, current, and potential students and partners, increasing retention, persistence, and completion. Coordinate faculty assignments for workforce courses. Complete the administrative paperwork needed to update and create new workforce programs. Oversee instructor timecards in ADP. Represent and promote the college and department by serving on task forces, committees, and attending community events. Serve as the department's Slate expert and coordinate with the Director of Admissions on enhancing Slate for workforce enrollment. Create/update Workforce, Micro-credential, Community Education, and English Skills Academy applications. Assist in marketing ideas for all workforce, microcredential, English Skills academy, and community education courses. Manage the application lifecycle from application creation to enrollment. Monitor applicant status and ensure that all required application documentation is received within established deadlines. Identify, extract and organize data from Slate and other sources with the goal of creating actionable information. Manage all technical workflows in Slate and update as needed. Maintain accurate data on applicant status, new applications, withdrawals, scholarships, and yield. Provide analysis of data and statistics for preparation of admissions reports and projections. Hire and train enrollment specialists. Assist with creation and management of events and communications within Slate. Participate in recruitment activities throughout the community. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Workforce Innovation and Industry Partnerships and the Dean for Career and Workforce Innovations. Required Qualifications:
Experience with employer and/or external stakeholder engagement required. Experience with career planning and the ability to work with a diverse student body required. Community College experience. Demonstrated experience with school-to-business partnerships. Experience with effective communication to institutional and community stakeholders. Demonstrated experience with assessment and evaluation. Experience with enrollment management. Demonstrated understanding of and experience with workforce development. Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience working with diverse students and non-traditional students. Understanding of onboarding, enrollment, and holistic student success processes in higher education. Interpersonal skills needed to maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, supervisees, staff, faculty, external partners, and vendors. Demonstrated leadership skills. Excellent organizational skills Self-starter, with innovative and creative ideas to enhance and expand offerings. Ability to work with little supervision. A team player with the ability to work with a variety of collaborators.
Bachelor's Degree with at least five years of experience working in higher education or a master's degree with three years of experience working in higher education.
Starting Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
