Postgres Database Administrator III
to support database activities including patching, capacity, performance management, backup, recovery, and development support. Responsibilities:
Write complex stored procedures and queries. Troubleshoot and resolve complex database schemas/warehouses. Understand and experience with Software Development Life Cycle. Manage PostgreSQL and Oracle databases. Experience with migration and integration between Oracle and Postgres. Design and optimize data models for performance and security. Collaborate with engineering teams and clients to ensure smooth database operations. Perform deployments, evaluate patching requests, and communicate risks and timelines. Support change management, security audits, disaster recovery, and documentation. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and on-call support. Qualifications:
Experience with stored procedures, troubleshooting, and database management for PostgreSQL and Oracle. Knowledge of SDLC, data modeling, performance tuning, and security strategies. Experience with cloud environments (Azure), version control (GIT, GitHub, Bitbucket), and migration projects. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred:
