Responsibilities for a structural auto welder operator include but are not limited to: Trouble shooting problems and changing out consumables as needed. Maintaining housekeeping and helping to control consumable cost and scrap. Removing all flux from produced parts. Filling flux hoppers. Operator-level maintenance of machinery. Communication up and down the line to ensure quality and completeness. Operating the auto welder machine while making constant adjustments. Being flexible to work any schedule needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future). Minimum qualifications: Experience with reading drawings, prints, and weld processes. High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent Preferred qualifications: Crane and forklift certifications.
