Responsibilities for a tack-up operator include but are not limited to: Use GMAW process Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment as needed. Read and interpret shop drawings. Perform tasks as directed by the Line Supervisor and/or the Line Group Leader. Understand order processing (shop releases and run orders). Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future). Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum qualifications: Be able to obtain at least 1G weld certification. High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Preferred qualifications: GMAW experience.
