Overview
Florida We are recruiting to replace two of our hospice physicians nearing retirement. Our hospice, located on the East Coast in South Central Florida, was established in 1977 and is the longest-serving, only independent not-for-profit hospice in our counties. Our 15,000 sq. ft. Care Center is a full-service hospice care facility with 12 suites, each with private patios, providing short-term acute symptom management for hospice patients 24/7. Currently, we have over 300 patients, with numbers growing. The Hospice Physician, as a member of the interdisciplinary care team (IDT), which includes physicians, mid-level providers, RNs, volunteers, and a Chaplain, is responsible for the direction and quality of the medical component of patient and family care provided by the team. We prefer candidates certified as hospice/palliative care physicians or internal medicine/family medicine physicians with experience or interest in hospice/palliative care medicine. Knowledge of the psychosocial and medical aspects of hospice and palliative care, along with the ability to manage the emotional stress involved, is a plus. Benefits: Bask in the year-round warmth of Florida Enjoy paying NO STATE INCOME TAX Live in a booming economic area home to industry giants like Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Rockwell, Health First, and HMA Easy airport access to Orlando Regional If you see yourself as a team player and are interested in discussing this opportunity, please reach out to Avery Poe.
