About The Role We're looking for a Senior DBA to manage and maintain our current SQL environment and lead our migration from Microsoft SQL Server to Azure SQL. This is a high-impact role where you'll modernize our data infrastructure, optimize performance and help shape our cloud-first future. What You'll Do Lead the end-to-end migration from SQL Server to Azure SQL Design and implement Elastic Pools Replace legacy SSIS jobs with Azure Data Factory pipelines Design, install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases (2012-2022) Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies Enforce security and compliance (TDE, HIPAA, SOC2) Requirements Job Requirements 7+ years of SQL Server DBA experience (2012-2022) 3+ years working with Azure SQL Strong knowledge of T-SQL, performance tuning and query optimization Experience with high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions Familiarity with tools like SQL Profiler and Database Tuning Advisor Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Bonus Points Experience with hybrid cloud (Azure + GCP) Knowledge of timezone normalization and schema unification Microsoft certifications (e.g. Azure Database Administrator Associate) Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at NovoPath by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for Senior Database Administrator roles.
