Python Back-End API Developer Join our dynamic Data Engineering Team and play a crucial role in developing APIs for an innovative data visualization tool. Pay ranges from $65 - $70/hr W2. Key Responsibilities: Develop and enhance a customized data visualization tool as a hands-on Back-End Python Developer. Contribute directly to core API development and infrastructure while collaborating with a skilled technical team. Experience and Skills Required: Proficient in Python with a strong grasp of core language fundamentals. Demonstrated experience building APIs using FastAPI or similar modern Python frameworks. Solid background in RESTful API development and backend service design. Familiarity with Azure SQL, Snowflake, or comparable databases; capable of writing queries. Knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically Azure (preferred) or AWS. Expertise in building secure API integrations and managing backend to frontend data flow. Experience with medallion architecture or layered data modeling approaches. Understanding of agile software development principles and team collaboration. Exposure to data engineering workflows and tools (PySpark, Databricks is a plus). Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization skills for backend processes. Ability to design backend services that are robust and capable of managing production workloads. Comfortable explaining code structure and architecture rationale. Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Skills and experience will also be considered in determining compensation.
