Job Summary
Odyssey House Louisiana, Inc. is seeking a full-time Behavioral HealthTechnician Supervisor to monitor adult clients in residential treatment. TheBehavioral Health Technician (BHT) Supervisor is responsible for all of the day-to-dayoversight of Behavioral Health Technician personnel.The BHT Supervisor must be familiar with all of the responsibilities of the personnel.The primary responsibility of all BHT Staff is to ensure the clients aresupervised and safe, as well as to keep the environment clean. The BHT Supervisoris responsible for ensuring that all BHT staff daily tasks are completed. The BHTSupervisor will be responsible for any additional duties assigned by the ProgramManager or Director
Responsibilitiesand Duties
It is theduty and responsibility of the Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor to:
•Focus on access and retention of all clients
•manage and supervise all BHT Staff including scheduling of all BehavioralHealth Technician shifts;
•be responsible for ensuring that all Behavioral Health Technician shiftsare covered and if needed will be expected to work any open shifts;
•monitor residents to ensure safety (this is the primary duty ofall Behavioral Health Technician Staff and the Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor isequally responsible for ensuring client safety);
•screen resumes and complete and submit all pre-employmentpaperwork on all open Behavioral Health Technician positions for the InpatientServices program;
•train all Behavioral Health Technician on new employee orientation and any requiredongoing training for all Behavioral Health Technician such as managing trainings, any Agencyscheduled trainings and monthly Staff meetings;
•manage all time clock activity and attendance for all BehavioralHealth Technician and ensure all Behavioral Health Technician are complyingwith Agency policies related to time and attendance;
•ensure all Behavioral Health Technician are aware of and complyingwith Agency Policies and Procedures, and is responsible for any counselingactivities or corrective actions for staff as needed;
•to express the concerns of the Behavioral Health Technician to theProgram Manager;
•familiarize self with resident and milieu issues by readingfeedback log;
•contact on-call staff if needed;
•conduct and/or organize meetings run by Behavioral HealthTechnician
•participate in weekly staff meetings upon request;
•witness, complete, and document urine drug screens when indicated;
•complete incident reports as needed, ensure BHT are completingincident reports per Agency policy, ensure all incident reports are submittedto Program Manager in a timely manner;
•monitor clients to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the facilities
•maintain a list of tasks and requirements to ensure compliance,efficiency, and effectiveness
•coordinate or conduct required bed checks and record whetherclient is awake or sleeping; and
•perform other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
Required
•Bachelor's degree
•3 years' experience working in the substance abuse field and in aninpatient setting
•Excellent written and communication skills
Preferred
•Bachelor's degree in Human Services related field
•Experience in a 3.5 ASAM Level of Care
