Cell Signaling Technology (CST) is seeking a highly skilled Scientist, Computational Biologist to join the Computational Biology team within the Bioinformatics & Data Science department in the R&D organization. This role will focus on developing and applying computational approaches for immunology, BCR sequencing, proteomics, multi-omics integration, single-cell analysis, spatial biology, and epigenetics, ultimately driving scientific innovation. The successful candidate will actively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within Bioinformatics & Data Science, including Computational Biology, Data Science, Bioinformatics Software Engineering, Informational Science, and Structural Biology. They will also work closely with other R&D departments, such as Proteomics and Molecular Biology, and cross-functional teams across the organization, including Marketing & Commercial, Data Engineering, and Lab Informatics. This position requires strong computational expertise, innovative problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate complex biological data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will leverage diverse expertise from cross-functional teams to develop robust computational solutions, fostering scientific breakthroughs and advancing CST’s research objectives. You'll have the opportunity to... Develop and implement computational pipelines for BCR sequencing, single-cell analysis, spatial biology, epigenetics, and multi-omics data integration. Design scalable bioinformatics workflows for high-throughput sequencing and multi-omics datasets. Apply machine learning and statistical modeling to large-scale biological data. Collaborate with immunologists, biologists, and data scientists to support CST’s research. Integrate computational methods with R&D initiatives, including Single Cell Technologies, Proteomics, and Molecular Biology. Work with Bioinformatics, Data Science, Software Engineering, and Structural Biology teams to enhance data-driven discoveries. Partner with Marketing, Commercial, Data Engineering, and Lab Informatics to apply computational insights strategically. Maintain documentation and reproducibility standards. Communicate findings through reports and publications. Who you are and what you bring to the team... Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Immunology or a related field, with relevant postdoctoral and a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in the field. Postdoctoral experience may be considered as part of the required experience. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and Bash. Experience with bioinformatics tools for sequencing data, especially BCR sequencing and single-cell analysis. Strong understanding of immunological data analysis and interpretation. Hands-on experience in proteomics analysis and integrating multi-omics datasets. Familiarity with machine learning applications in bioinformatics. Experience working with cloud computing and high-performance computing (HPC) environments. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Effective communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently. Ideally, you have... Proficiency in software engineering best practices, including version control (Git), workflow automation, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD). Experience working within an Agile development environment, applying methodologies to enhance collaboration and project efficiency. Demonstrated experience in structural prediction and molecular modeling, particularly in the context of antibody-antigen interactions. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for scalable and reproducible computational analyses. Knowledge of data visualization techniques and tools for effectively presenting complex bioinformatics data. Physical Conditions/Physical Requirements... Cubicle on-site. Low noise.
