The Business Services Supervisor oversees the processes, productivity, and daily operations for the Government Billing team. Responsible for employee performance management, including recruitment, hiring, and employee retention. Creates schedules, facilitates department meetings, and identifies and coordinates training. Monitors productivity and quality and ensures adherence to departmental and hospital policies. Tracks financial and performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Acts as an escalation point for issues that arise. Acts as a subject matter expert in Medicare billing. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Description

Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. Three (3) years’ experience in hospital Revenue Cycle required. Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
Government Billing And Collecting
Additional requirements for specific departments are as follows:
Three years’ experience in hospital AR management and Medicare and medi-Cal, PPO/HMO claim adjudications required. Experience in all phases of billing and working knowledge of federal and state regulations and requirements related to Medicare billing.
Certifications Preferred
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certifications
