About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Credit Officer (CCO) to lead its commercial credit team. The CCO will be responsible for evaluating loan documentation and proposals, confirming creditworthiness, and improving the loan application process. This includes working closely with credit analysts to ensure all requirements are met and providing clear explanations to applicants when loans are rejected. The role also involves sitting on the loan committee, approving loans after thorough review, and assisting customers with any related inquiries.
Applicants for the Chief Credit Officer position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial credit or lending, with a preference for those who have previously held a CCO role. A strong background in commercial, consumer, and retail lending is essential, as is a proven track record of leadership and management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity. The ideal candidate will possess a growth mindset, be loyal, hard-working, and have a team-first mentality. Key skills include the ability to analyze and underwrite loans, manage client relationships, and cross-sell banking products. Familiarity with sales, commercial loan underwriting, processing, and closing processes is also required, along with the ability to multitask effectively and excellent communication skills.
