Position Introduction/Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking a mid-level
IT Project Estimator
to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs area.
Key Duties: Support the development and submission of highly complex Implementation Cost Estimate Proposals (ICEPs) and related proposals from initiation through award. Facilitate internal ICEP and proposal meetings, guiding technical teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, on-time documents. Collaborate with the IRES Contracting Team to create and prepare ICEP and proposal documentation. Coordinate with the Project Management Office, Customer Relationship Managers, technical teams, and Government Stakeholders to develop comprehensive proposal content, including schedules, labor, subcontractor labor, travel, and shipping. Monitor the STRIDE 1.0 system to track real-time proposal notifications and updates. Manage multiple concurrent ICEP and proposal efforts, ensuring deadlines are met and requirements are fulfilled. Demonstrate ownership of proposal deliverables by aligning efforts across IRES teams and Government Stakeholders to produce high-quality, requirement-driven documentation.
Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education
Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at the time. This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use. Active Secret Clearance (or higher). 4 or more years of directly related experience. Strong math skills and above-average computer proficiency. Critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems and make effective decisions. Above-average written and verbal communication skills. Experience collaborating with technical teams, senior management, and clients. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project. Familiarity with IT terminology and concepts.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education: Experience developing IT-related proposals. Possession of a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. Experience working with Earned Value Management (EVM) contracts. Experience facilitating high-value proposal developments of varying complexity. Familiarity with both traditional waterfall and agile proposal development methodologies.
