About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Claims Manager for a professional liability division. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading a team of 5 claims professionals who handle mid to complex professional liability claims, including legal E&O, MPL, and D&O cases. This leadership role involves driving the team's performance, serving as a technical referral point for complex claims, coverage, and litigation matters within professional liability, and managing the team to ensure the highest standards of service and expertise.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' of leadership experience in professional liability claims, with a background that includes E&O, D&O, and other professional liability claims. Extensive experience in legal E&O, FI, and private D&O claims is highly beneficial. The role requires the ability to manage and grow a claims team, including senior claims examiners with JD law qualifications, and a strong background in litigation and coverage investigation, particularly with large loss professional liability policies. The ideal candidate will have a JD law degree and experience working closely with legal and claims counsel, as well as other internal and external teams.
